Dear Valued Customers,
We are pleased to announce that FMi Logistics is transitioning to a new Transportation Management System (TMS) this spring.
We are implementing this new technology in phases to ensure that our teams are fully trained and ready to take advantage of all the new features that will be available.
Our Freight Division will use this new system to create rate quotes, Bills of Lading, manage all transactions from pickup to delivery and invoices for our customers.
Our timeline for the implementation is as follows:
- Truckload: April 18th
- Less-Than-Truckload: May 15th
- Further updates will follow shortly
Phase one of our implementation will have us begin with our Truckload department. This team books all Truckload moves throughout Canada and the United States and all Intermodal shipments across Canada.
As we roll out this new system, our customers will notice a new look and feel to their quote documents, Bills of Lading, and shipment visibility portal. If you want access to our portal, send a note to FMiFTLCES@fmicanada.com, and one of our operators will send you an invite to register.
Please refer to the attached new-look Bill of Lading and one-page document highlighting some new features as we continue this implementation.
During the transition period, you can expect the following changes:
- Improved shipment visibility and tracking
- Enhanced communication with carriers and suppliers
- Streamlined invoicing and billing processes
- More accurate and timely reporting
- Increased efficiency and productivity
We understand that change can sometimes be difficult, but we assure you that we are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible.
While this new technology will assist us in providing quicker response times and better shipment visibility, our dedicated team members in eastern and western Canada will continue to provide superior service to our customers daily. They are the backbone that allows us to help our customers successfully manage their supply chains.
Thank you for your continued trust and support.
